OSTEOSYNTHESIS

OSTEOSYNTHESIS

Osteosynthesis is a surgical procedure during which fragments of broken bone are stabilised and joined. The Osteosynthesis indications are open fractures, articular fractures, where bone fragments should be assembled precisely if early movement is required. Wires, screws, plates, rods and staples are used for internal fixation.

EXTERNAL FIXATION

EXTERNAL FIXATION

Fixation of bone fracture fragments using fragments-fixing metal screws and compression devices attached to screws outside the patient’s body. It is skeletal stabilization by adding wires and screws that go through the skin and are connected outside to bars or other devices. The most popular fixation devices are Hoffmann II and Iliazarov systems.

ENDOPROSTHETIC OPERATIONS

ENDOPROSTHETIC OPERATIONS

Endoprosthetic operations are performed in cases of deforming arthrosis causing severe joint pain, when patient movements are limited and joints begin to deform with time. After surgery during which the hip, knee or shoulder joint is replaced by an artificial joint, pain disappears and mobility is restored due to an implanted joint. LTD “ARTROPULSS” for its patients offers shoulder, knee and hip joint replacement implants.
